Street Justice

So I got to paint this awesome mural in this spot that I love.

st Viateur Mural detail

We were almost finished.

St Viateur mural w/ Doing

Then this happened because the owner of the building walked straight up to us while we were painting and said ” It’s Ugly” We were like, “pardon”. {all in high English} He went on to say it was fugly and he was going to paint over it and how he liked the old shitty mural underneath it {you can see it peeking through}. We almost got into a fight when the big boss, basically the man who runs the man with bad taste, said it was”beautiful”. Then the little man turned to us and said, “OK. You can finish it”

After

We finished it alright.

Good things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad people.

Dude. I understand your reasons, but it still sucks that you had to do that. It was nice work, in a great location.

Life is full of assholes. If you destroy a work for everyone one of them that opens their mouth then you won’t have much to show for…

However, I totally appreciate the “fuck you”~ness of the gesture. Sometimes you do need to flip one of them off. It’s good for the soul.
